Multi-store · Stock transfers

Stuck at one shop. Selling at another.

Dead stock is only dead where it sits. When another of your shops still sells the same line, a short van run beats a write-off. Four moves suggested this week, worth £212.90 at shelf price.

A line counts as dead after six weeks without a sale. A move is suggested only when another of your shops sold the same barcode in the last two weeks and is short of it. Values are the receiving shop's shelf price.

How a move is picked

Three tests, all at the till.

The sender has not sold the line in six weeks. The receiver sold the same barcode in the last two weeks and holds under one week of cover. Both tills know the product under the same code, so the move books cleanly.

The other five lines

No buyer, so no move.

£110.10 of dead stock sells at none of the three shops. Moving it just moves the problem. Those lines belong on the stock and gaps list for a markdown or a delist decision.
